The Carnival is by no means the only thing going on on carnival weekend. There are all sorts of events happening in addition, which we're happy to publicise here!
Sunday services and well-dressing
A special carnival service will be held on the Sunday morning, preceded by a well-dressing service at Town Lane. Times and details to follow.
Go-karts
The soap box derby will be run on the Sunday morning, from (roughly) the George & Dragon to the end of the Rec.
Kennels open day
The kennels in Woodseats Lane will be having an open day on the Sunday afternoon, to include, provisionally:
- a dog show
- terrier racing
- a hound race
- a horse-drawn carriage running people down there and back
NECDH will also be in the parade using the hunt 4x4 with hounds in the back (on leads with handlers).
Local pubs
Various local pubs are having special events over carnival weekend (and if they contact the carnival, these will be publicised here!).
