The 2013 carnival will take place on Saturday 13th July 2013 (providing that it doesn't rain continuously for months beforehand!).
The next meeting of the Carnival committee will be on Tuesday
28th May in the George & Dragon at 8pm. Come along and
join in!

The theme for the 2013 scarecrow competition has been
announced - so start your preparations now!

Shock: chairman to be grandad!

Carnival queen announced
The 2013 carnival queen will be Bethany Winterbottom, with Gabrielle Hamilton as Deputy Queen and Jennifer Caldwell as attendant (names drawn out of a hat at the carnival meeting on 16th April).

Carnival meeting
The first carnival meeting for 2013 took place in the George & Dragon, and was very well-attended. The date for the next meeting is Tuesday April 16th, in either the Grey Mare or George & Dragon (try both!).

Big band event for Chernobyl
On 15th March the Tony Greenwood Big Band are performing at Dukinfield Town Hall from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, featuring a ball room showcase by international dance champions Ronald Jager and Jenny Sheeran.
